Projects in Malawi:

Since November 2019, German Sparkassenstiftung is in a partnership project with Lilongwe
University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) with its Department of Agribusiness
Management (ABM). To achieve the overall target to strengthening small entrepreneurs in Malawi,
the LUANAR / ABM will be supported in the development of educational programs for the
microfinance sector and for small entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector. Financial Literacy also
plays an important role to improve the entrepreneurial skills of small entrepreneurs and farmers in
Malawi an to improve their sustainability.
Increasing the educational standards for potential and existing staff members of the microfinance
sector and its supervisory bodies in the country, will have positive impact towards the financial
services and products for small entrepreneurs and farmers in the long run.
